Sok H. Cordell started his career in financial services more than a decade ago at Shearson Lehman/Salomon Smith Barney where he developed a broad education in all aspects of portfolio management, bond trading, bond origination, and structured investments. Extensive training in Wealth Advisory added to the scope of his knowledge base in sophisticated solutions for wealthy individuals, middle markets and small businesses. He later joined UBS PaineWebber, recognized at the time as one of the largest private banks in the world, as a First Vice President and Insurance Principal where he gained extensive education in the areas of estate, retirement, and wealth preservation planning. In 2000, Sok structured one of the largest Estate Planning cases, a reflection of his broad education in private business banking. In 2002, he joined Wachovia Securities as a Sr. Vice President / Investments Officer gaining extensive education in the areas of financial derivatives, hedging strategies for bonds, bond swaps, and various other fixed income instruments in addition to leading the office in government finance lending products such as SBA, Fannie, and FHA.
Unlike many financial advisors, SOK is trained in areas of commercial and corporate finance, risk management, financial modeling, tax compliance, private banking, trust planning, estate structuring and sophisticated corporate estate planning. He possesses a diverse background in all aspects of finance: creating wealth, restructuring debt and equity, loan origination, packaging, pricing, and securitizing various loans. He has received various awards and recognition in the areas of CMBS, Mezzanine Finance, Swaps and Derivative contracts in the securitization markets.
As the founder of CH Capital Partners LLC, Sok is dedicated to the creation and implementation of lasting and personal relationships with clients, without conflict of interest in product, and not limited to only investments but offering additional services such as commercial mortgages, business consulting, community bank consulting, independent loan pooling, swap contract structuring and other sophisticated financial products.
This full-circle point of view experience provides the unique perspective, which Sok Cordell utilizes to the advantage of his many wealthy, retail and institutional clients. He brings remarkable experience and dedication to CH Capital Partners LLC and currently serves as the Senior Managing Director.
Sok and his wife currently live in Northwest Portland with their two wonderful children.
